Italy – Naples to Florence & Florence & Tuscany Wine Tour – Days 12 and 13 – Stephanie

I was trying my best to be diligent for this blog, but time, walking, eating, walking, eating, walking,…………. have gotten in my way.  We have seen so much, been to so many sites, done so much walking (averaging 8-9 miles a day), it’s all a blur again.  I do remember that yesterday (July 12) I found a great street market ranging from antique door knockers to food to clothing.  Kevin and I also got on our wild sides and had Steak Florentine.  It was delicious!  We had a delightful server that enjoyed talking with us, and us with him.  After dinner Kevin and I came home to an empty house.  We played cards for a while and heard a big crash just outside our window – Kevin investigate to find Cat, Evan, and Dianna, on the upstairs deck drinking wine!  They never heard us and we never heard them until the crash.  After that it was a wine party on the deck, listening to the city sounds and watching the sun set behind the church dome.  Beautiful night.

Today (July 13) I we were up early as Diana had booked us on a fantastic Tuscany wine tour to 3 different vineyards.   Kevin and I rented electric bikes and zipped around the town after returning from the wine tour, enjoying the breeze and sights. We’re all back here at the house now, Dianna napping, me updating my part of the blog, I don’t know what Cat and Evan are doing but I’m hearing a lot of laughter.  Kevin is probably watching Facebook videos or playing one of his phone games.  Think I’ll relax and see what the rest of the night brings.  The laughter from Evan and Cat upstairs makes me smile.  😊
