Italy – Sorrento – Day 5 – Stephanie

Last night was a rough night for me as I’m having a relapse in my bronchitis.  Kevin was my night in shining armor to get up early to find a pharmacy to get me meds.  Thankfully he googled the first thing he thought he ought to get me – nope!  It was something to make you throw up.  The box of Maalox was just what I needed.

I slept in while he went exploring.  I should have just slept in and left him alone  He had rented a REAL scooter and was zipping along the coastline.  Dufus me calls him and he said “Meet me at the Jolly Scooters rental – they have REAL scooters, not the piece of crap we rented on Capri”!  He gave me explicit instructions, but I was still in a sickly haze and only grasped part of the directions of the place to meet him.  I did remember the Jolly Rentals, google mapped it, only to find out later it was not the one he went to and was on the other side of the town.  “Best Laid Plans of Mice and Men”………………posh!  Out the window that went.

On to happier times after I ruined his coastal joy ride.  We did some souvenir shopping and had a great dinner, after walking to the bus station to buy our tickets for the morning’s trip back to Rome.  However, the only ticket out was at 6 am.  No thanks!  We’ll take the trains and sleep in a bit.

Back at the room.  He’d done his blog, now I’ve done mine.  We have ½ a bottle of wine to drink and maybe play some cards?  Maybe, maybe not.  We’re tired.

We hook up with my niece Catherine, her husband Evan, and her mom, Diana, tomorrow in Rome for the next part of our Italy adventure!  I’ve loved Sorrento, but I am ready to move on to the next chapter!

Chow!

PS  no pic today – sorry!
